Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 November 2026
This policy explains what happens to your information when you use GenSpeed at speed.genpass.in, operated by Gllownite Technology.
Speed tests
When you press Start Test, your browser exchanges test data directly with Cloudflare's network (speed.cloudflare.com) to measure ping, jitter, download and upload speed. Cloudflare receives your IP address as part of that connection. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Your IP address and network details
To show your approximate location and internet provider, your IP address is looked up using the third-party services ip-api.com and ipwho.is. Those details are displayed to you on the page.
Your results history
Past results are saved in your own browser's local storage so you can compare them. They stay on your device, and you can clear them from the results section at any time.
Advertising and cookies
This site uses Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' cookies at aboutads.info.
- Learn more in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Server logs
Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested and time) for security and troubleshooting.
Children
GenSpeed is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Your rights and contact
Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, you may have rights to access, correct or delete your personal data. To make a request or ask a question, use our contact page.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
